In between raindrops, SYAC Travel Softball teams played terrific softball games this past week.

The Syosset Hurricanes, a U10 squad, played the Long Island Greyhounds in Friday Night Lights, a new weekly series of scrimmages at Syosset-Woodbury Park. The Syosset Storm took on the Hurricanes in a second game at the park.

The Syosset Cyclones, a new U8 squad, dropped a 13-8 game against East Meadow on Saturday in the North Bellmore/North Merrick development league.

The Syosset Xtreme, competing in the U14 division of NJBL, dropped two games to the Long Island Inferno at Longo Field at H.B. Thompson Middle School. The Xtreme is 3-4 on the season.

The Syosset Thunder, competing in the U12 division of NJBL, was rained out this week.
