SYAC Travel Softball teams put up a 3-2 record in the first week of competition this summer. Syosset has four travel teams competing in the Glen Cove Mayor's Trophy.

The Syosset Hurricanes split two games in their first week ever in the Glen Cove tournament. The Syosset Storm topped Middle Village with a 7-4 win in their opening game. Both the Storm and the Hurricanes are in Glen Cove's U10 division.

The Syosset Thunder, competing in U12, cruised to a 20-2 win over the Oyster Bay Hellcats, while the Syosset Xtreme, in U14, fell to the Levittown Strikers.
