Opinion

I am very frustrated. In the southwest corner of 200 Robbins Lane, in the Syosset/Jericho area, there is a very interesting recharge basin. In the basin we have a MotoCross Track, a shooting range and a tire dump all in one.

Having been the unsuccessful vigilante over the years, I found out the following:

• Never call the second precinct in Woodbury - they don't care.

• Never call the State DEC in Ronkonkoma - they care even less.

• Never write your Civic Association (BCA) - it's not a mall or a pretty entrance sign and it's not in their backyard so they don't care.

So I try here.

I have the pictures and the correspondence. I am a mad taxpayer who also is an environmentalist.

I plan on cleaning out this area sometime soon. I need help. The mosquitoes living in the trashed tires are killing me and I'm tired of trying to be Michael Douglas in Falling Down.

I need help to solve a problem that seemingly no one cares about.
