Mary Louise Surowiec, 74, of Syosset, died on Feb. 22, 2008. Mother of Mary Alice (Marissa) Morrow and Victoria Surowiec. Sister of Michael D. Schramm (Corinda). Also survived by nieces and cousins. Private cremation and memorial service was held at the Oyster Bay Funeral Home. Hazel Varca, 91, of Syosset, formerly of Mineola, died on March 3, 2008. Wife of the late Alexander. Mother of Valerie Ruckert (Thomas) of Bayville and Charles Varca (Carol) of Sarasota, FL. Grandmother of Philip Varca (Kathy), Kimbel Martin (Jim), Lissa Harris (Danda) and Julie Varca. Great-grandmother of Philip Varca Jr., Tamber Neumann and Jaidyn Martin. Sister of Jeanne Olifiers (Rev. Edmund) and the late Charlie, Joyce and Lois. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Arrangements were made by the Oyster Bay Funeral Home.
