Taubman Company Not Interested in Selling Land --
The Cerro Wire Coalition held a meeting last week to unveil its plans for alternate development on the 39-acre Cerro Wire Site in Syosset. The land is owned by the Taubman Company who submitted plans to build an 860-square foot mall and is currently waiting on a decision in the Supreme Court of the State of New York (Suffolk County). The Taubman Company maintains that it is not interested in selling the land.

Syosset High School's varsity lacrosse team captured the Nassau County Class A championship, defeating Farmingdale in an exciting playoff game at Hofstra University. With a score of 7 to 3, the Syosset team claimed its rightful place as champions, after having gone into the game as the first seeded team with a season record of 15 wins and two losses.
