Taubman Company Not Interested in Selling Land -- The Cerro Wire Coalition held a meeting last week to unveil its plans for alternate development on the 39-acre Cerro Wire Site in Syosset. The land is owned by the Taubman Company who submitted plans to build an 860-square foot mall and is currently waiting on a decision in the Supreme Court of the State of New York (Suffolk County). Syosset High School's varsity lacrosse team captured the Nassau County Class A championship, defeating Farmingdale in an exciting playoff game at Hofstra University.
