The Jericho Board of Education unanimously adopted the proposed 2007-2008 school district budget at an open meeting on March 15, 2007. On April 25, Nassau County Legislator Roger Corbin (D-Westbury) received a letter informing him that he was removed, effective immediately, from the appointed position as deputy presiding officer. The letter, sent from Presiding Officer Judith Jacobs (D-Woodbury), stated that it "has become apparent that [Corbin is] unwilling to work toward the goals of the caucus." FULL STORY

Registration will begin for the Jericho Athletic Association's 2007 Fall intramural soccer season. The program is open to those children who attend Jericho schools from Pre-K thru 5th grade. The program will include weekly instructional clinics supervised by professional soccer trainers, and a weekly intramural league game. FULL STORY

SYLAX lacrosse teams have started the season with a bang. After two games, Syosset's fourth grade white team is 1 and 1 with two strong games against Division 1 teams. Playing against Manhasset was a challenge but with strong offense from Alex Concannon, Drew Rauch, and Jordan Rauch Syosset came out on top with a 6-2 win. There was strong attack presence from Vinny Spreanza, Jeremy Kaplan, Mat Buetti and Mathew Avidon.
