In 2001, Julie Rosenfeld, who lives in Florida, founded On The Rebound, a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to the collection and distribution of new and gently used sports equipment to disadvantaged children. This organization serves the Palm Beach and Broward Counties. In an effort to expand this organization, David and Matthew Weiss, Julie's cousins, were elected to serve as co-presidents of the New York Region of On The Rebound. FULL STORY

The Joseph J. Gorman Council Knights of Columbus of Syosset will again be sponsoring a basketball free throw shooting contest at the local level of competition for the year 2007. The date will be Sunday, Jan. 21. It will be held at Saint Edwards the Confessor RC Church's new gym. Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. All boys and girls from 10 to 14 years old before Jan. 1, are invited to participate. All participants will receive a certificate and the first 30 children will receive a special Knights of Columbus patch. FULL STORY
