The Syosset Fire District is upgrading all automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) and advanced cardiac monitoring units on board all ambulances and fire apparatus used by the Syosset Fire Department (SFD). The Jericho Jay Sox 10 and under baseball team has gotten off to a 3-3 start in the Mid Island Division. After starting the season by defeating Hicksville, 3-0 and Oceanside, 9-7, the Jay Sox suffered back-to-back losses to East Meadow and Merrick.
