    The Jericho High School Alumni Hall of Fame hosted their 16th Annual Induction Ceremony on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at the Jericho Public Library.   • News: Jericho Teen Raises More Than $9,000 for Guide Dog Foundation

    Erica Paige Simon, a Jericho High School junior, recently raised $9,400 for the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, Inc. in Smithtown. The money will be used to sponsor a guide dog puppy and to purchase two GPS units for people with sight impairments. FULL STORY

  • Sports: Syosset Basketball League Champions Crowned

    In a thrilling seventh-eighth grade Boys Championship Game Team Schwartz scored a come from behind 47-44 victory versus Team Kaufman. Trailing 38-36 entering the final period MVP Brett Schwartz, Bradley Peck and Adam Zerner led the way with key contributions from the entire team. To their credit both teams played like champions. Congratulations to Coach Alan Schwartz and players Brett Schwartz, Adam Zerner, Kenny Schwartz, Robin Jacob, Brett Lewkowitz, Bradley Peck, Michael Moore, David Hezghia, Zachary Grossbard, Hunter Strassman.   • Sports: Final Registration for Jericho Youth Football League for: Tackle, Flag and Cheerleading

    The final date for registration for the Fall 2006 flag and tackle football programs will be on Wednesday, May 10 at the Jackson Elementary School cafeteria. The flag program is open to boys and girls ages 7 -13 years of age who will be in second through eighth grade this upcoming fall, and the registration fee is $125. The tackle program is open to boys and girls ages 5-14 years of age in thefFall 2006. The registration fee is $200 with a $50 fund raising fee. There is a $25.00 multi-player per family discount. The flag league is entering its seventh season, while the tackle program in conjunction with the Syosset Tackle Football League will enter its third season. FULL STORY
