The Jericho Jr. Hawks (Boys U7) won their indoor soccer league for the second straight year with a 4-0 victory over Albertson in the Paul Riley playoff finals at Sportime in Bethpage.

What began two years ago as a group of Pre-K Jericho boys getting trounced in a 2004 Father's Day tournament, has transformed into a well organized team of pint-sized soccer players. These dedicated little athletes practice weekly with their trainer Pedro Fragoso Jr. as well as scrimmage other teams and compete in various tournaments.

Having one of the best, if not the best goalies in Noah Greenbaum enables the Jr. Hawks to be competitive even when overmatched.

Though the boys play all positions they have settled into a routine that starts with the explosive front line of Zachary Caspe, Tyler Blitz and Jason Bortnick. Their crisp passes and aggressive play accounts for lots of goals. Their D is rock solid with Todd Perlman & Hunter Principe stopping anyone who comes their way. Jason Marshall has embraced the roamer position where his heavy kicks and quickness not only score lots of goals, but helps prevent them. All sorts of support comes from the likes of Jared Levy, Max Chodes, Dylan Zeiff. and Ben Alon. They provide versatility and lots of good left feet.
