The New York Mets Baseball Academy Camp, in conjunction with Syosset Baseball Association, has extended registration cut-off date to Aug. 1. All players playing in Syosset Baseball Association League for 2005 are eligible.

Players can sign up for either of two eligible weeks:

Aug. 22 - Aug. 26

Aug. 29 - Sept. 2

The New York Mets Baseball Academy has extended to Syosset Baseball Association a participating registration discount reflected below:

Ages 7-12: $265 per week

Age 6: $135 per week

Camp will be held at Syosset/Woodbury Community Park starting at 9 a.m. each day. The 6-year-old division will have half day sessions. Registration forms can be downloaded from the Syosset Baseball Association website www.syossetbaseball.org or e-mail secretary@syossetbaseball.org with your fax number to be faxed a registration form.

All checks are payable to Syosset Baseball Association and mailed with completed application to: Syosset Baseball Association, PO Box 302, Syosset, NY 11791.

Additionally, all registration forms that have already been sent in have been forwarded to the New York Mets Baseball Academy. They in turn are presently processing these registration forms and sending confirmation notices out with reporting date and time to camp.

The New York Mets Baseball Academy, in conjunction with Syosset Baseball Association recently extended an invitation to all Syosset Baseball Association players and families to attend the Aug. 5 New York Mets baseball game versus the Chicago Cubs.

Price per ticket is $25 which will get you a ticket to the picnic area reserved for the New York Mets Baseball Academy this evening.

All players will be joining together on the outfield warning track during the National Anthem. Select current New York Mets players will be available prior to the game for autographs.

All requests should identify the number of tickets requested along with a check payable to The New York Mets. Send to: The New York Mets Baseball Academy, PO Box 140323, Howard Beach, NY 11414.

All requests must be postmarked by July 29. Additionally, it is imperative that you bring a copy of your check to Shea with you the night of the game, as well as sending a confirming e-mail that you will be attending to: secretary@syossetbaseball.org. Without these two things taking place, you risk being turned away when you arrive at the ballpark.

All tickets can be picked up, game day, at the picnic area prior to the game. All autograph opportunities will be prior to the game, starting at approximately 6:10 p.m. and ending promptly at 6:50 p.m.
