After 31 years as Educational Director of the Jericho Jewish Center Hebrew School, Samuel Goldberg was recently honored at an elegant retirement party. Over 200 congregants, including students, former students and teachers attended this joyful event. He received numerous accolades for his long and dedicated service to the children of the temple's Hebrew School.

He was active on the board of the Conservative Principals Council for many years, serving as secretary, vice-president and president. Mr. Goldberg has also maintained a deep interest in computer technology. He has served for many years as computer teacher at the Solomon Schechter School of Queens.
Samuel Goldberg devoted his life to educate and walk side by side with the Hebrew school children, watching them grow, mature and successfully become Bar/Bat Mitzvah. Not only as principal of the JJC Hebrew School, but in his personal life he is recognized as a kind, extraordinary individual, a friend and an educator, who truly loves to contribute his knowledge to adults and children alike. For many years Mr. Goldberg conducted the junior congregation services on Saturday mornings, explaining the weekly Torah portions to the attendees.

We wish him and Susan well on his retirement. He will be missed by all who know him and have come to love him.
