The Jericho third and fourth grade lacrosse team has completed six of their eight scheduled games for the spring 2005 travel season, and they have only found the loss column once. Jericho won their first four games of the season, which started April 3, before losing their first game on Mother's Day, May 8. The coaches are very excited about the about how great the team is playing as they head toward the final three games of the regular season, and a tournament to be played on Saturday, May 28 in Plainview to kick off the Memorial Day weekend.
The opening game of the season was played at home on the Jericho High School lacrosse field against a strong Franklin Square team. Leading the scoring was Steven Fletcher and Noah Starr. Steven scored a goal late in the fourth quarter to tie the game and Noah scored the game winning goal with just a little over one minute left in the game. The great defensive play of Chandler Kirby, Zachary Wachtel, and Tyler Amodio kept the game close as well as sharp goal tending by Eric Kang and Brahm Fatehi.
