Five Residents Vie for Two Open Seats on Jericho School Board
Five residents, Jesse Bachrach, Saundra Gumerove-Bernstein, Jack Feldman, Claire Hochheiser and incumbent Barbara Krieger, are running for two open seats on the Jericho School Board. This is an at large election and the candidates who receive the most votes will fill the two open seats beginning July 1.

Eight Candidates Vie for 3 Open Seats
Eight candidates are running for three at large seats on the Syosset School District Board of Education. Three current board members whose terms are up, Anthony Alizzi, Maria Anderson and Ellen Meller, are not seeking re-election. Residents are encouraged to vote on the budget and board candidates on Tuesday, May 17 from 6 a.m.- 10 p.m.

Football Evaluations for Jericho Youth Football
The Jericho Youth Football League will be holding its annual evaluations for children interested in playing flag football for the fall 2005 season. The evaluations will be conduced by Jeff Falk and Steve Brett, along with coaches and volunteers from the league. The children will be evaluated based upon their speed, agility, passing and catching skills and overall athletic ability. This evaluation will be conducted at the Jackson Elementary School on May 18, 19, 23 and 24 from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m.

SYAC Softball Game Stories
On April 21st, under a setting sun, Buddy & Clyde's Girls defeated Punctuation at Walt Whitman Field by a score of 11-6. The Girls' bats were on fire with back to back homeruns by "Tricky" Niki Tuck, who went 3/3 and "Slick Vic" Victoria Gee.
