Matthew Csillag of Syosset recently placed eighth in his age group at the US Kids Golf regional championship in Jekyll Island, Georgia. Csillag competed against 45 other junior golfers from all over the United States and Asia. Invitations were limited to golfers who finished in the top three in their statewide competitions.

Csillag shot rounds of four over par and three over par with a birdie each day to secure his top ten finish. Csillag was the only top ten finisher from a North Eastern State.
