The postal service will be conducting a density test of the mailbox at the corner of Maytime Drive and Birchwood Park Drive from Saturday January 29 through Friday February 4. During this time, they will be monitoring usage of that particular mailbox in order to determine whether it meets minimum usage requirements.

In the past year, residents were inconvenienced when several mailboxes were removed. Due to the efforts of the Birchwood Civic Association, this box was reinstalled. However, the postal service has made it clear that the box must continue to meet usage requirements. Therefore, residents are encouraged to make regular use of this corner mailbox, especially during the upcoming week.
