As 2005 unfolds, it is only natural to reflect on the year past and the highlights that made the year memorable. As we reminisce, and the events of the past school year are recalled, we realize once again the integral role that Mal Tarkin and the Jericho Auxiliary Police play in the operation of our district. Not only does their day-to-day presence ensure the safety of our students and school property, but their assistance at annual events such as homecoming have become paramount to the success of the day. Their participation at such events allows our staff to be available to assist our students, knowing that traffic and crowd control are in very capable hands. They are trained to handle any emergency situation, and we all breathe a little easier when they are in command.

We just wanted to take this opportunity to publicly thank them for all they do to benefit our district.

Henry Grishman

Superintendent of Jericho Schools

Hilari Cohen

President of the Jericho Board of Education
