David Marmann, current chairman of the Jericho Board of Fire Commissioners, is running unopposed for another five-year fire commissioner term.

Marmann, who is running for his second term as commissioner, is a 20-year member of the department and a lifelong resident of Jericho. He is a lieutenant for the New York City Fire Department and a 1980 graduate of Jericho High School. Marmann is married with three children.

Voting is taking place at the Jericho Fire House headquarters located at 424 North Broadway in Jericho between the hours of 6-9 p.m. In order to vote, a resident must be a registered voter and a resident of the Jericho Fire District, which does not always coincide with town lines and school districts.
