In a very exciting, end-to-end game Team One defeated Team Five 1-0 to win the Jericho Girls fourth/fifth-Grade Championship Game. The two teams had met once during the regular season, playing to a hard-fought 0-0 tie in early October. Team Five was undefeated coming into the game and Team One had not lost since opening day and had given up just three goals since their opening day defeat.

With the game scoreless midway through the second half, Amanda Levenberg scored her team-leading 10th goal of the season on a beautiful pass from Taylor Britvan. Team Five came right back and put tremendous pressure on for the remainder of the game, just missing on a few scoring opportunities. The goalies on both teams, Erica Cohen for Team Five and Erica Rieben and Samantha Cohen each made some beautiful saves throughout the game. All the girls on both teams should be very proud of the great seasons that they had.
