With everyone returning from the spring break, Syosset Baseball is pleased to kick off the 2004 campaign with the opening game slated for April 15, featuring two teams from the major league division.

The game matches God Bless America, managed by Joe Girardi and Assistant Ron Schaake, versus Keller, O'Reilly & Watson, managed by Bill Glasgow and Assistant Fred Capobianco. Game time is 6:15 p.m. at Syosset-Woodbury Community Park.

On Saturday, April 17, all divisions and all teams get under way with a complete day of baseball from 9 a.m. through 6 p.m. scheduled.

In the event of inclement weather during the season, Syosset Baseball has set up a call to notify all parties of any postponement of games. The number is 827-8757. There will be a recorded message advising the status of games for that day.

Additionally, Syosset Baseball reminds all players and families of Syosset Baseball players that the traditional Memorial Day weekend All-Star Games and picnic at Syosset Woodbury Park has been scheduled for May 29. Mark your calendars.

This information and additional information on Syosset Baseball, including standing of teams from Divisions' 9-years-old through the major League Division can be found on the website: www.Syossetbaseball.org.
