The Jericho Shooting Stars Boys U9 Soccer Team finished in second place at the Bethpage SporTime Winter Indoor Soccer League with a 5-2-1 regular season record. Opponents in the league included teams representing Seaford, Albertson, Massapequa and Syosset.

Every Jericho player rotated through the forward and midfield positions and contributed to the offense throughout the 8-game schedule, led by Brian Lowenstein (10 goals), Harrison Rieber (7), Zachary Cohen (5), Bradley Wank (5), Michael Gang (4), Matthew Epstein (4), Ryan Tarasoff (2), Zachary Dukoff (2) and one each from Jesse Buller Derek Medolla and Noah Starr. Jesse, Derek, Matthew and Ryan also provided outstanding defensive support for Noah, the primary goalie, who consistently batted down numerous shots and made acrobatic saves look almost routine, as well as the secondary keeper Bradley. In the playoffs, the semifinal match pitted Jericho against a strong Massapequa team. Jericho rose to the occasion and dominated the first half of the game with almost all of the shots on goal. A scoreless tie was unfortunately broken when Massapequa netted a fortuitous rebound off the back wall. Although the game ended 1-0, the Shooting Stars made a valiant effort, played one of their best games ever and should be as proud of their individual and collective performance as are their parents and coaches.
