Jericho High School Students Cast Their Shadows Across Long Island on Groundhog Day
Punxsutawney Phil and Malverne Melissa were not the only ones to see their shadows on Monday, Feb. 2. Twelve Jericho High School students, who are interested in learning more about various careers, shadowed professionals around Long Island on Groundhog Day. Started as a Jericho Industry Advisory Board project three years ago, Shadow Day offers sophomores and juniors an all-day career exploration opportunity that often leads to Senior Initiative projects.

Jericho's Soccer First Place Again
This past Saturday before a capacity crowd in Linderhurst, Jericho's Boys under-7 soccer team put on a show and took first place. The team was led offensively by Chase Scotland who scored five goals in four games and was named offensive MVP, Andrew Greenblatt, who scored four goals on some masterful moves and Jonah Telyas who dominated the midfield. Defender Jesse Blumenau blasted his first goals of the season and Micholas Mu didn't let anyone into Jericho's zone. Jared Weiss was again dominant in goal, stopping a penalty kick.
