John Venditto
Republican incumbent John Venditto is seeking re-election as Supervisor of the Town of Oyster Bay this November. He took office Jan. 1, 1998, and brings nearly two decades of experience in public service to the office of Supervisor. The North Massapequa resident also served as Town Attorney from 1991 to Dec. 1997, and as a Town Councilman from 1981 to 1991.

Syosset Youth Football Pony Team
The Syosset Braves Pony Division hammered a weaker Bethpage team by the score of 38 to 18. Syosset let Bethpage know who was in charge on the opening kick runback of 60 yards by Mike Napolitano. A very disciplined offense line led by pulling guard team of Paul Alessandri and Jared Kuczek as well as center Steve Bartolomeo and end Brian Graney marched uncontested downfield scoring two additional unanswered touchdowns before the end of the first half.

SYAC Softball Travel Teams Triumph
The Syosset Flames and Syosset Xtreme both were victorious in softball games played on a lovely fall afternoon October 26. The teams comprise the travel program of SYAC Girls Softball and are sponsored by Braces by Drs. Frankel and Sokoloff of Woodbury.
