George E. Friedell, of Syosset, died on Feb. 24, 2003. He was a second lieutenant and pilot in the Army Air Corps during WWII and was a retired deputy chief with FDNY, 14th Division. Husband of the late Eleanor. Father of Eileen Becher, George Jr. (Ret. FDNY) and Lynn Kinlin. Grandfather of six. Great-grandfather of seven. Arrangements were made by the Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Home, Plainview. Service at the Plainview Reformed Church. Interment St. John's Cemetery.
