In Tuesday's Jericho Fire Commissioner election, 356 residents showed their support and voted. Incumbent Commissioner Lawrence Bachteler, Jr. was re-elected by a margin of 203 votes to challenger Howard Pastolove's 153 votes.

Incumbent Commissioner Bachteler has served as one of Jericho's fire commissioners for the past five years. He has been involved with the Jericho Fire Department for 32 years. Bachteler will sit on Jericho's board of commissioners for another term, which lasts five years.
