Residents Encouraged to Vote for Jericho Fire Commissioner
On Tuesday, Dec. 10 residents of the Jericho Fire District will have the opportunity to vote for a fire commissioner, who will be elected for a five-year term. Each year, a different commissioner is up for re-election.

Residents Say 'No' to Library Expansion
The Syosset Public Library held a bond referendum vote on Dec. 3 to offer residents the opportunity to vote on the proposed expansion at the library. The residents voted down the expansion with 932 voting against the expansion and 764 voting in favor of it.

Shooting Stars Win Second Consecutive Tournament
The Jericho Shooting Stars Boys U8 Soccer Team won its second consecutive outdoor tournament on Sunday, Nov. 24 at Stillwell Field. Jericho captured first place in the Boys U8 White Division of the Syosset Intramural Soccer Tournament, playing in games that were rescheduled because of a Columbus Day rainout. The Shooting Stars were undefeated and unscored upon on the three-game event, winning by scores of 1-0, 1-0 and 2-0.
