The Jericho School District is currently planning a "Relay For Life." With the support of the American Cancer Society, the district will be hosting the relay at the Jericho Middle/High School complex on May 17 and 18, 2003. "Relay For Life" is an overnight celebration of hope, progress and answers. Groups of friends, families, neighbors and co-workers form teams and walk around a track to raise funds, awareness and spirits of those present.

A meeting will be held for members of the Jericho school community who are interested in helping out at this event. The meeting will be held on Monday, Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the high school faculty cafeteria. Matt DeMarinis, a mathematics teacher at Jericho High School is serving as the relay chairperson. There are 10 committees that will need chairpeople and members. For further information, please contact DeMarinis at 681-4100, ext. 220 or Mary Marks at 681-4100, ext. 202.
