The Jericho Athletic Association's 2nd-3rd grade boys' soccer Team #7 was fleet-footed in its first win on Sunday, October 6, at the Williams School field in Jericho. Team sponsor, Steven J. Boral, DDS, was in attendance and cheered on his players.

Early in the game Jonathan Delman, playing goalie, made two great saves to keep his team in the game as Team #1, led by Jake Falk, Corey Bogdan and Perry Gold, kept up the pressure. The Boral boys split their scoring with a first half goal by Brandon Schwaid and a second half tally by Adam Pesner. Adam Birns, Matthew Marber and Dane Rucker, who played solid, two-way soccer, often controlled the ball for their team. The play by Derek Medolla, Ryan Lloyd, Sagar Rambhia, Brendan Liu, Matthew Lesser, Ethan Mogavero and Tyler Krypell was inspired and tireless. Jake Hirsch, playing goalkeeper in the second half was able to protect the lead. The boys, who lost and tied their two previous games, respectively, showed off some of the skills learned in practices. Their motivation was phenomenal and they should take pride in their successful effort.
