La Viola restaurant in Syosset will be celebrating their 10th anniversary throughout the month of October. Owner Giancarlo Costa opened the restaurant, which is located at 41 Jackson Avenue in Syosset, in October of 1992. The Syosset location is one of three La Viola restaurants - there are also locations in Cedarhurst and Boca Raton, Florida.

Throughout October, Costa will be treating his customers to free gifts and complimentary desserts as a sign of his appreciation for his 10 years of success. "As soon as we opened 10 years ago, we were very busy right away," said Costa. "We have been blessed."

La Viola offers Italian Cuisine in a family restaurant atmosphere. "We have great Italian food at a reasonable price," said Costa.

Not only does Costa and La Viola offer the community a great place to eat, but Costa has been giving back to the community for the past ten years. Every Thanksgiving the restaurant closes to the public and Costa and his staff, who volunteer for the day, serve a full Thanksgiving dinner free of charge to the needy. "It is a very special day because all of the staff and some customers volunteer. So many people help us," said Costa, who explained that they also deliver Thanksgiving dinner to people who are unable to leave their houses.

"I have a very good staff and people who have been with us for the last 10 years," said Costa. "We have made a lot of good friends here. There is a lot of satisfaction in this business because of the great people that come and work here."
