KeySpan and Town of Huntington Strike Deal Regarding Power Plant
The Town of Huntington announced earlier this week that they reached a settlement agreement with KeySpan on the Proposed Spagnoli Road Energy Center. According to the Town of Huntington, concessions included in the agreement will greatly benefit all who live and work in the town. Many local residents disagree and they expressed their concern at a Wednesday press conference.

Syosset Residents Hold Annual Golf Outing in Memory of Jon Ullrich
Syosset residents Janet and Terry Ullrich lost their 14-year-old son Jon five years ago after he lost his battle with a heart defect. Jon's family and friends started the Friends of Jon, a charitable trust established to provide assistance to non-profit organizations that provide services for mentally and/or physically challenged children and adults in loving memory of Jon Ullrich.

Runners and walkers of every age and ability from Syosset, Plainview-Old Bethpage, Woodbury, Jericho and nearby communities are cordially invited to be part of the 15th annual edition of the Oyster Bay Town Supervisor's Oyster Festival 5 Kilometer Run, to be held on Saturday morning, Oct. 19, as the kickoff event of this year's Oyster Festival. The run will start in Fireman's Field in Oyster Bay at exactly 9 a.m.
