Residents for a More Beautiful Syosset hosted a Pedestrian Road Show last Thursday at the VFW Hall. The meeting was an attempt to raise awareness about the dangerous places to walk in Syosset. FULL STORY

Suozzi forcefully spoke of Nassau's fiscal dilemma, soundly condemned the recent past leadership of the county and promised conditionally to limit county taxes through 2005. The sixth-grade mini-olympics were held on the field of the Jericho Middle/High School, June 10, after having been postponed from the previous week due to inclement weather. The weather was perfect, the students were excited and worked hard. The teams emerged from school onto the field in a parade of colors and homemade banners. FULL STORY

At one point in the season, the Home Run Hitters had 3 wins and 3 losses. From that point on, they never lost another game, winning 7 in a row including last week's finals against the Jazzy Girls.
