On a raw, rain-drenched Saturday, Jericho faced off with a physically dominating team, North Babylon (NB). During near torrential downpours, the two teams fought to control ground balls. The typical finesse play of Jericho was hampered by the muddy conditions and frigid weather.

Jericho made the initial strike and eventually developed a 4-1 lead by halftime. Even though the hard-hitting play by North Babylon controlled most of the ground balls, the Jericho defense, led by Harry Anscher, Michael Romanelli and Danny Kanzer, quickly stopped any offensive opportunities by North Babylon. And while the muddy field made it almost impossible for the players to run and dodge, Jericho's quick passing managed to keep one step ahead of the NB defense creating many scoring opportunities.

In the first half Attackman Dave Berliner had a super day running past defenseman, getting one goal and one assist. Attackman Max Zetlin shot two goals as he weaved past the defense with his uncanny stick handling. Attackman Jake Chazen's pinpoint accuracy helped get another goal as he fed a fellow midfielder. And attackman newcomer Jordan Moskowitz played selflessly with two assists. Midfielder Brett Longo muscled his way to get one goal and one assist.

In the second half, North Babylon eventually worked its way back to a score of 4-3. Berliner eventually scored bringing the game to 5-3. And then NB struck back, making the score 5-4 in Jericho's favor with three minutes left to play. The entire midfield Max Landow, Ryan Lee, Jeremy Cohen and Jordan Brustein, played an intelligent game during brutal conditions. And if North Babylon controlled the ball on the ground, the Jericho midfield controlled the ball in the air.

North Babylon regained possession trying desperately to score. Goalie Wyatt Tichner had a great day making saves as the ball skidded along the wet grass. In the last attempt, the North Babylon attack tried to penetrate past Jericho's defense, but Anscher regained possession, ending the game with another Jericho victory.

On Sunday, Jericho beat West Babylon 9-1.
