Jericho's Marks Receives 13 Awards from NYSPRA
The New York School Public Relations Association (NYSPRA) recently honored the winners of its 22nd annual communications contest at a luncheon in Buffalo, New York. Mary Marks, public relations consultant for the Jericho School District, received 13 awards overall, the most awards received by any individual or firm in New York State out of 645 total entries submitted from 118 school districts.

Residents Encouraged to Vote for Jericho Fire Commissioner
On Tuesday, Dec. 11 residents of the Jericho Fire District will have the opportunity to vote for a fire commissioner, who sits on the board of commissioners and are elected for a five-year term. Each year, a different commissioner is up for re-election.

On a late November afternoon the Syosset Braves Pee Wees took on and defeated a tough Levittown Red Devil team, the defending champions. The 13-6 win advanced the Braves into the championship game against North Babylon.

Jericho Jets to Start Season
The Jericho Jets Track Team, now sponsored by the Jericho Athletic Association, will kick off their indoor track season on Sunday, Dec. 16, with a meet to be held at the new, state of the art, indoor track and field facility at Suffolk Community College West.
