George J. Blaha, of Sun City, NV, formerly of Syosset, died on Oct. 20, 2001. Husband of Joni. Father of Steve, Mike, Tom and Rick. Grandfather of Scott, Keith, Danny and Sharon. A memorial visitation will be held at the Arthur F. White Funeral Home, 315 Conklin St., Farmingdale, from 7 to 9 p.m. on Nov. 23. Manuel Freitas, of Port Richey, FL, a long-time resident of Mineola and Syosset, died on Nov. 1, 2001. He retired as head groundskeeper of Herricks Schools. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty (Kehn); four sons, Joseph, Michael, Stephen and Manuel Eugene; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
