Democratic Town of Oyster Bay Council Candidates
Mary McCaffery is running for a council seat on the Oyster Bay Town Board on the Democratic and Working Families Party Lines. McCaffery, a longtime resident of Bethpage, said her community involvement and innovative ideas make her well suited for the position.

Resnick Scores Hat Trick
In a battle of undefeated soccer teams, Marissa Resnick led all scorers with three goals in quick succession as Incredible Feets, in maroon, defeated Andrew Marc, wearing blue, 7-0 at Jackson School. Kelly Prudente and Blair Seideman also had first-half goals in the Jericho Athletic Association girl's fourth and fifth grade intramural game on Oct. 21. Resnick and Seideman have scored in every game this season.

Syosset Lightning Beats Oceanside in a Nailbiter
After a delayed start, the Syosset U10 boys Lightning team came out of the gate running. Philip Rosenberg and Adam Krochak were human backboards on defense, reversing every ball that came their way back towards the offense. The Lightning drew first blood when Aaron Dorfman scored a goal with a penalty kick from the right side. Alex Locke, the king of slide tackles, continually stopped Oceanside's momentum sacrificing his body whenever he pursued an opponent. The half closed with Syosset leading 1-0.
