On July 29 and Aug. 5, Josh Cohen, a college student from Long Island, will host his 4th Annual LI 3-On-3 Neighborhood Basketball Classic at the Merry Lane basketball courts in Jericho (next to the Jericho Library).

On July 29, the players ages 15 to 25 will compete from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Aug. 5, the players 25 and older will compete from 8 a.m. to noon. There will be refreshments, T-shirts, water bottles, raffles, prizes and contests. All proceeds will benefit the Children's Brain Tumor Foundation, a national organization that funds research and provides support for children with brain and spinal cord tumors and their families.

This event is in memory of Jill Adlman who passed away at 15 years of age due to a brain tumor. Entry fees: July 29 $60; August 5 $120. Make checks payable to Children's Brain Tumor Foundation.
