Syosset High School's boys varsity track team captured the first Division Championship on May 15. All-Division honors were given to 15 different athletes for placing first, second, or third in their events. Congratulations go to all the team members.
Seniors receiving All-Division honors were Chris Albritton for first in the 1600 meter relay; Tommy Cafiero for first in the 3200 meter relay; Wesley Cheng for first place in the high jump and third place in the long jump; James Duade for third in the 3200; Saugat Sen for second in the intermediate hurdles and first place in the 400 and 200; and Billy Vasilyadis for second in the 1600 and first in the 800 and the 1600 meter relay.
Juniors receiving All-Division honors were Tien-Lun Chuang for third place in the triple jump and second in the high hurdles; Earl Han finished first in the 1600 meter relay; Henry Kung for first in the 3200 meter relay; Ben Lok for first in the 1600 meter relay; and Josh Wong for placing first in the 100 and third in the 200.
Sophomores receiving All-Division honors were Mark Alizzi for taking first place in the 1600, 3200, and 3200 meter relay; Daniel Flaxman for placing third in the 400 and first in the 3200 meter relay; Noel Joseph for placing third in the discus; and Seren Ozcan with a first place in intermediate hurdles, second in the 200, and third in the high jump.
Syosset earned a total of 210 points at the meet, easily triumphing over the second-place team, which earned 168 points.
