Despite a gusty late-inning rally, CPASRUS.com fell to Plaza Power Hitters by a score of 19-13 on May 28. Playing under threatening skies, the teams battled their way through an exciting game.

Leading the charge for Plaza were Andrea Zalin, Jennifer Matte, Chandler Goldberg, Amanda Kaplan, Ashley Greenstein, Lauren Kolodny, Katelyn Lesse, Kasey La Verne and Danielle Strumwasser, all of whom had at least two hits, a run scored and an RBI. The Power Hitter's defense was led by Chandler Goldberg, who made an excellent catch of a line drive that led to a double play. Jennifer Matte and Andrea Zalin also turned in top-notch defensive performances, as did Chelsea Rose at second base.

Leading the attack for CPASRUS.com with three hits and three RBI's each were Nicole Morro and Zoe Saunders. Lily Mummers led off the game with a triple and crossed home plate three times before raindrops cut short the hard-fought contest. Danielle Kass drove in two runs, while Dana Starrantino and Stacie Perl both scored twice.

With successive rounds of power-laden hitting, the sluggers of CPASRUS.com topped Access Staffing by a score of 23-12 on May 30. Providing plenty of punch for the CPAs with four hits each: Lily Mummers, Rose Bloomberg, Dana Starrantino, Zoe Saunders, Danielle Peters and Jessica Ackerman. Dana Starrantino was especially potent at the plate, driving in seven runs with two of them coming on a home run from a shot deep to right center. Also driving the ball deep to center field was Jessica Caplan whose "homer" was ruled a ground-rule triple. She drove in three runs, while Nicole Morro drove in four. Melissa Kaufman also drove in a run on two hits.

The CPAs were equally accountable in the field with Dana Starrantino pulling in throw after throw to first base. Lily Mummert played a hot hand at shortstop, at one stretch gunning down four consecutive batters trying to reach first base.

Leading the hitting for Access Staffing were Danielle Siansky, who had two RBIs and played a steady first base as well as Morgan Zlotolow who provided punch at the plate. Amanda Targovnik made a good catch on a pop fly and Emanuelle Vradis fielded well. Lisa Cohn provided solid defense as catcher.

Another great game by the Mets as they took the lead in the top of the first inning and never relinquished it. Final score was Mets 22 Superstars 12. They now have won six games in a row with an impressive record of 6 wins and only 1 loss. Ally Zuckerman of the Superstars went 4 for 4 and made three outstanding plays in the field. For the Mets, Kristen Carton went 4 for 4 with 4 RBIs as well as Cassi Lubarsky who went 4 for 4. Outstanding plays in the field were turned in by Casey Gold and Lauren Quinn.

In a hard fought pitchers duel, Sluggers.com got back on the winning track with a 3-2 victory over Lorand Landscaping. Alex Aaron went all the way giving up only one earned run. Rachel Riegel snared a line at second for the final out. Jamie Cohen fielded first base like a professional and used her sprinter speed to steal a run. Katie Mishkin led the hitters.

Emily Wolvovsky and Melissa Klafter shared the mound duties for Lorand and Melissa also had a key triple. Sluggers.com is now 5-2.

A quick glove and an on the money throw from shortstop Lily Mummert to first baseman Dana Starrantino of CPASRUS.com put a stunning endpoint to a dramatic and hard-fought 24-23 win over the High Rise Mets on June 1.

The game featured power hitting that had spectators jumping out of their lawn chairs and keen fielding. Over six innings, the lead seesawed between these two hard playing rival teams.

Stroking five hits a piece for the CPAs were Lily Mummert, Dana Starrantino and Zoe Saunders. Lily had a career night at the plate with two homers, two triples and a double, with five runs scored and two RBIs. Zoe drove in four runs to bring her team-leading season total to 25. Nicole Morro, Jessica Caplan and Danielle Kass drove in two runs a piece. Also coming alive at the plate was Danielle Greenberg. Jessica Ackerman, Dani Peters and Rose Bloomberg also made heads-ups plays.

Leading the charge for the Mets were Stephanie Perry who went 4 for 4 with a home run and Liza Roth who went 3 for 5 with three RBIs. Melanie Woerner and Jennifer Halpern both went 4 for 4 and Jennifer had 4 RBIs. Casey Gold went 5 for 5. In the field, Stephanie Perry made three unassisted putouts at pitcher's helper. Kristen Carton made an excellent catch at shortstop and catcher SamiRose Esposito lent a steady hand behind the plate.
