On May 14, the Bombers were involved in another close game that came down to the wire. The Bombers fell short by one run and were defeated by Plaza Power by a score of 20-19. Jackie Finkler, Amanda Kaplan and Jenny Matte contributed to the Plaza Powers offense as each girl had at least three hits including a home run by Amanda Kaplan.

Jenna Tacher, Nicole Rooney and Heidi Smolewitz turned in strong offensive performances for the Bombers. Newcomer to SYAC Softball Christelle Rabban has contributed three hits in her last three games. Both teams played an outstanding game to keep everyone in suspense until the bottom of the sixth inning.

Another exciting game played by the Mets in which they won 31 to 17. The Mets took an early lead in the top of the first inning and never lost it. Jennifer Halpern went 4 for 4 with 3 RBI's; Liza Roth went 5 for 5 with 4 RBI's; Casey Gold went 4 for 4 with 3 RBI's and Jennifer Spungin was 3 for 4 with 3 RBI's.

The fielding stars were Holly Gary who caught a line drive and turned it into the Mets first double play of the season and Lauren Quinn who made two excellent plays in the fields as well. The Mets are now 3-1 for the season.

In a rematch of two league rivals, The Bombers buried CPASRUS.com by a 21-10 score on May 15. The game was marked by brilliant defensive play and consistent hitting. Bombers infields Cathy and Nikki Tang reeled in one pop fly after another and scooped up grounders and pegged them over to Hannah Lafferty at first. The Bombers turned three double plays. The game ended as outfielder Nicole Rooney pocketed a pop fly and tagged third base for an unassisted double play.

Leading the Bombers with four hits was Hannah Lafferty while Cathy Tang, Nikki Tang and Jenna Tacher had three hits apiece.

Leading the hitting attack for CPASRUS.com with three hits apiece were Nicole Morro, Dana Starrantino and Lily Mummert. Zoe Saunders provided drama in the third inning with a two run homerun that swelled her team-leading RBI total to 15. Jessica Ackerman drove in two runs and Jessica Caplan stroked an RBI triple with a long drive.

The win moved the Bombers to 3-2 while CPASRUS.com suffered their first loss and fell 301 in the National Division.

Another hard fought game by the Mets in which they finally prevailed in the end winning the game over the Bombers 28-22. The stars of the game were Melanie Woerner, Liza Roth, Holly Gary and Stephanie Perry. The Mets have won five in a row. IN a battle of the undefeated, Sluggers.com used a seven run fifth inning to escape with a 10-7 victory. Alex Aaron continued her strong pitching and hitting. Rachel Riegel led the offense with three hits and four RBI's. Courtney Baymack also reached base three times. Mallory Goldberg had two hits. Lorano was led by pitching and hitting of Emile Walvovsky and Melissa Klaffer. Gabrielle Lundy had two hits.
