The Gaines Berland A's defeated the Body Worx Yankees on opening day of the Jericho Sixth-Grade Boys Baseball League by the score of 19-5. David Ackerman went the distance for the Gaines Berland A's and pitched brilliantly, while recording eight strikeouts. Max Rosenberg started for the Body Worx Yankees and also pitched great. Rosenberg was relieved by Josh Besserman, Ben Davis and Anthony Valente, all of whom had solid efforts. FULL STORY

The Jericho 3rd and 4th grade travel lacrosse team has opened its season with a very encouraging start. Although the first three games were losses, the team shows great promise to be highly competitive through the remaining five games. FULL STORY
