The Syosset Sparks U-12 Girls Travel Soccer Team won the prestigious Long Island Junior Division Sportsmanship Award for the third consecutive season. This special group of girls has learned the ultimate lesson of how to win and lose with grace and class and conduct themselves with a sense of fair play.

The Sportsmanship Award is based on cumulative points that are awarded by the referee on a game by game basis for player, parent, spectator and coach's conduct, overall game conduct and appearance. The Sparks were awarded 399 out of the 405 possible total points, a remarkable achievement.

Congratulations to the players - Michelle Zar; Jamie Weisfogel; Lizzi Weintraub; Jenna Tyrangel; Stephanie Sumcizk; Kim Sumcizk; Sami Spira-Bauer; Lauren Salzman; Sarina Paty; Melissa Matos; Lauren Liebling; Tori Levine; Jenna Kogan; Andrea Hoda; Dani Goodwin; and Nicole Alexa and all the parents!
