Jericho High School Stock Market Team Featured on CNBC
Three Jericho High School sophomores, Ankur Mathur, Joshua Meredith and Ross Sturman, were highlighted on CNBC's Power Lunch for their fourth-place ranking in a CNBC-sponsored stock market tournament. The competition, in which 4,775 teams from schools nationwide participated, ran from Oct. 23 until Dec. 15.

TEQR Report Investigates Proposed Mall on Cerro Wire Property
The Town Environmental Quality Review Commission (TEQR) recently released their findings regarding the 39-acre Syosset property known as the Cerro Wire Site. The Michigan-based Taubman Company submitted an application to build an 860,000 square foot up-scale mall including two anchor stores totaling 330,000 square feet and satellite tenants totaling 530,000 square feet.

Syosset Resident Competes in Millrose Games
Robis DeGirmenci of Syosset was part of a field of 12 elite New York metropolitan area athletes in the new Metropolitan 3000 Meter Run held at the 94th annual Millrose Games at Madison Square Garden on Friday evening, Feb. 2. DeGirmenci joined fellow Long Islanders Don Di Donato of Hicksville and Mike Guastella of Yaphank in the field.
