The Celtics (Sick-Day Health Media) started off to a 19-8 lead after three periods playing the Sonics (Champion Motors). The Sonics then came back on a 9-0 run, led by Jonathan Roach, in the fourth period to cut the lead to 19-17. Roach had seven of the nine points scored in the last period as well as a bullet pass to Alex Berman for the bank shot. The game stayed close and the Celtics led by five after the sixth period.

In the eighth period it was 30-28 Celtics and the Sonics had the ball. With only 28 seconds left, Roach knocked down a ten-foot jumper and tied the game with 18 seconds left. A great defensive play by Aaron Wasserman forced a turnover with only 3.2 seconds remaining. Ryan Gillece then threw a long pass to Ryan Price who hit a lay-up to ice the game as the Celtics won 34-30.
