Syril Farber, of Jericho, died on Dec. 7, 2000. A scientist, she was part owner of a pharmaceutical company. She was a breast cancer activist and a board member of 1 in 9, LI Breast Cancer Coalition. She was a Girl Scout leader and a volunteer at the Planting Fields Arboretum. Mother of Laurie, Philip and Henry Farber. Grandmother of two. Memorial service.
