The Jericho Jets Track Team will open its indoor season on Sunday, Dec. 17 with a Youth Meet at Suffolk Community College, West, in Brentwood.

The Jericho Jets will compete in six indoor meets in December, January 2001 and February 2001 culminating in the Long Island Youth Championships on Feb. 25.

Events will range from the 55-meter dash to the 1500-meter run and will include jumping events and relays. Children from grades one through 12 are eligible to compete.

The Jericho Jets have been practicing outdoors but indoor practices will be held at the Jackson School gym on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 7:15 p.m. As of Tuesday, Dec. 12, all are welcome.
