Town of Oyster Bay Counciwoman Bonnie Eisler will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of Residents for a More Beautiful Syosset, which will be held on Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Syosset. This meeting is open to the public.

The Jericho Lacrosse Club is following up its tremendous spring season with a comprehensive three-season program. This fall, a clinic will be held for age groups from second to sixth grades. The fifth/sixth-grade team will probably have the opportunity to play some games scheduled around the busy soccer and football programs.

Jericho Jets Complete Summer Season
The first phase of the outdoor season concluded with the Junior Olympic Qualifying Meet held at Ward Melville High School on June 17. A hardy and dedicated group of young Jericho Jets ventured out into the midday 98-degree sun, hoping to qualify for the Regional Junior Olympic Championships and each of them achieved their goal by finishing among the top six competitors in their events
