Jericho School District voters overwhelmingly approved the proposed 2000-2001 School Budget on Tuesday May 16. After a heavy voter turnout, the final tally for the budget was reported 1,131 yes and 338 no.

The Goldstein & Avrutine Yankees avenged their season opening loss by defeating the Midtown Electric Giants 6 - 3 on Monday at the Jackson School. The game was called after five innings due to darkness.

Jericho 5th and 6th Grade Boys Baseball
The Morrisons Pastry Angels defeated the Dermatology Center of LI Cubs in the opening game of a doubleheader on Saturday, May 13 by the score of 8-5. Neither team scored in the first inning as Jason Levine retired the side in order for the Cubs and Alex Siegel came back to do likewise for the Angels. The Angels scratched out a run in the top of the second on an RBI single by Justin Berger. The Cubs came right back to tie the score on a long double by John Shannon and a run scoring single by Joey Stabile.
