On Tuesday, May 16, the Jericho School District will hold its annual school budget vote. the polls will be open from noon until 10 p.m. in the Jericho High School gym. Included on the ballot is a referendum which will reduce the distance for the schools, required to receive bus transportation. This distance was specifically determined to ensure that no child would have to cross a major roadway such as Jericho Turnpike, 106/107, or Brushhollow/Cantiague Rock Road, to get to their school. It is imperative that every member of our community is committed to the safety of all of our children and votes "Yes" on the transportation proposal as well as the school budget for the coming year.
