As anticipated, this week's game against New Hyde Park, a team Jericho lost to last year, proved to be a tough game. Jericho started the game scoring the first goal and commanding a 4-1 lead by half-time. Matt Sherman was a brick wall in goal, preventing New Hyde Park from scoring with what few shots they managed to place on goal. The defense led by Brett Longo, Russel Greenberg and Corey Saft, played a physical game, shutting down the offense from making any fast break goals. Both the Midfield and Attack, proved how experience and practice paid off, controlling the ball with fine passing and fast breaks. Max Landow, Brandon Richter and Russel Taff controlled the faceoffs, winning eight and losing three. Combined with the ball handling of fellow midfielders Jake Weithorn, Austin Greenfield, Dan Bennisato and the Attack, Jericho had 23 shots on goal. The Attack, led by Harry Anscher, Brett Longo, Hudson Miller and Russel Greenberg played a "clutch" game, scoring the points when most needed.

The second half saw New Hyde Park surge back, bringing the score to 5-4 by the fourth period. With just a few minutes left to play and a chance for New Hyde Park to tie the score with a fast break, Carl Mueller, Jericho's goalie in the second half, came up with a big save, turning the momentum back to Jericho who scored again to bring the score to 6-4. With only two minutes left, New Hyde Park came back and scored again, bringing the score to 6-5 and Jericho hung on, managing to take the final victory.
