On Tuesday, May 2, at Walt Whitman, Cel-Net defeated Jerry's Artarama in the opener for both teams. Cel-Net was led by the string pitching of Brittany Bitter. Cel-Net had defensive support from Nicole Cohen (who also had three hits) and Julie Levites who made a very difficult catch which resulted in an unassisted double play to end the third inning. In the last inning, Jerry's scored five times to take a one-run lead. Cel-Net won in its last at bat when Melanie Mednick got a two out, bases loaded hit to score Arielle Fadan and Natalie Mestel.

The Big Red Machine defeated G.B.I. 8-4. Brittany Badean was amazing and struck out 13 batters. Jennifer Katz was brilliant on defense and Jessica Stangel was three for three with a triple and three RBI's. Lauren Seckendorf, Whitney Fogg and Alex Teich played a great game for G.B.I.
